PianoToons (Ages 3-5)
is an exciting, educational, fun-filled, hands-on piano program for children ages 3 - 5. The program offers small group piano lessons (maximum of 6 students per class) for eager 3 -5 year olds who are excited to play the piano, but are not quite ready for private lessons. Your child will enjoy an exploration of music, rhythm and sound and this class will provide your child with the knowledge and ability to:
- Read notes & identify them on the piano
- Identify beat values of different notes and rests
- Assume proper hand position on keys & scale fingering
- Play simple songs
- Compose simple songs
Class Details are as follows
- Maximum of 4 students
- Class Duration: 30 min
- Classes given on Wednesdays 11:00-11:30 a.m. and 4:00-4:30 p.m.
- (NOTE: Other sections will open as needed or requested if possible)
- Lessons begin January 13, 2009!
Mommie and Me (Ages 0-3)
Mommy & Me music class is a community of mothers, grandmothers, care givers, and their children a bonding experience through song, instrument play, movement activities, and dramatic play in a relaxed environment conducive to babies, toddlers and children.
We offer two types of Mommy & Me classes at ASA which caters to different family dynamics. You can choose to sign up for Mommy & Me (Family Class) which allows your children to not only attend class together but enjoy their bonding time as well with their siblings. You can also choose to attend only the Mommy & Baby class for children ages 0-18 mths. This class will focus on development of the younger babies while allowing the mother a chance to bond with her baby.
There will be a maximum of 6 children in each class.
